Plants and crochet

hello everyone, vacation days are over and i am very elated to work further for my little shop. Square pillows are in the making and making little pieces for a few purses. my avocado plants are doing good, my first one his becoming very big, i hope he will become even more bigger and he will be a kind of avaocado tree inside my garden-atelier. my second avocado plant is slower, but he is getting there and my third plant is still a baby, soon i will give him a pot with soil so he can grow good as well.
It is almost autumn, my favorite season of the year, you can wear boots again tights and extra pair of socks above them. soon i will bring my coat to the tailor to make it a bit shorter, it is a coat that is hanging in my closet for such a long time now and i really want to wear him durning this coming autum and winter months, i am looking forward to that.
i hope you have a good and lovely week and and i want to wish you a wonderful start of autumn. Until very soon again with more news about my work.

  16. Your avocado plants are looking beautiful, Lotte! :)

I'm currently trying to grow my own avocado plants and I planted the 1st one in the soil about a month ago. But there seems to be a problem with it, the leaves are getting brownish spots, one by one, from the bottom to the top. Plus, the soil is always very wet, I water it about every 10 days. Have you ever encountered this issue?

  17. hi alex,
that's not so good to hear. sometimes i also get a leave that turns brown at the leaftips, and i don't think it is because i gave to much water but that it is a problem with the humidity in the air. it can not be to low .
does your pot also has a plate underneed to cath up the water, does the water stay in the plate ?
What i also would try is to take the avocado out of the pot take a new pot and give as much of fresh soil as you can without damaging the roots, maybe this will give your plant a new boost. I give my plants not to much water, and i gave 3 times a week, but really not to much.
Maybe your plant is not standing in a light place ? It needs enough light but not direct sunlight it needs to be filtered.
my big avocado also had brown parts on several leaves and also some leaves felt of. today he will get fresh soil, and i hope he will be doing good further for long time.
    hope i could be helpfull

  18. Hey Lotte, thanks so much for your reply!

I asked a local flowerist and he told me to use some fertilizer and to re-pot it carefully mixing its current soil with some river soil he gave me, I don't know its name in english, but it looks like dark sand. He told me that it probably means that it's not getting enough nutrients.

I hope it gets better, because I've been taking care of it since June or May, and it was sad to see it acting like this once I put it into a soil.

I also hope your big one becomes 100% healthy again!

    Thanks again. :)
